November 2008

Back in the game!
Gusty is happy to have left motherhood behind and once again be a career
girl. She and Brian celebrated with an early season duck hunt on a
lovely November evening. Blizzie thought her mom’s prize was VERY
cool!!!

It was a ridiculously
warm fall day, and before a storm to blow in, Brian took the big girls
for a field training session. Not wanting to be left out, Blizzie
decided she was up for a bit of bumper play as well. After all, now
that she’s 14 weeks old, she thinks she’s ready for some big time
fieldwork!

OK, back off all you
Canadians, Michiganders, Minnesotans and Northern Illinoyings! You
aren’t the only ones that can brag about your snow today. Very late
this afternoon we had OUR first snowfall of the season at Songdog.
Since this was Blizzie’s very first snowfall, we had to get a picture of
her. She didn’t seem too excited over her initial encounter with the
lovely white stuff. I guess with a name like Blizzard, it was just
another day in winter wonderland.

Blizzie finds all of the Christmas
preparations just exhausting!

| Santa overboard! |
Gusty to the rescue! |
Christmas is saved! |
For all the recent
Songdog Flatkids, it’s important to know just how important your Mom
is! We came home from work to a very, very grave situation. Santa was
in terrible distress….and it looked like it was going to be one lean,
mean Christmas. We knew this was a job for only the very best and
bravest, so we called in the Super ‘Triever, UH HRCH Songdog’s Red Sky
in Morning, CDX SH WCX CGC. It only took seconds for Gusty to realize
the gravity of the situation and she burst into action. As you can see,
Gusty saved Santa, and the holiday itself, for millions of children
throughout the world. Yes, Virginia, there STILL is a Santa Claus!
