It's time to leave Songdog on Pup Creek and move away from our Mom and start our new lives.  We'll miss our brother and sisters but our new families have been waiting a long time for us.  We know we'll be loved and cared for...

It’s Summer Vacation Time!

Max has enjoyed spending time with his Dad and traveling with him to judge hunt tests. He is the star of his puppy class! Often he and his dad are the demo dog team to show new techniques to others.

After growing up with a whole pack of girls, he’s probably grateful to be able to show somebody else what to do! Max has fun playing with his brothers Joey & Bud also.

Chicory, the “Loon Ranger”, has been spending time with her family on the lake in Wisconsin. She enjoys boating and chasing butterflies, with a little swimming thrown in. At home she helps with the chores, like bringing in the newspaper and escorting her parents to the bakery. What a good kid!

Georgia recently took a trip to visit her grandmother Lupine at Blazingstar Kennels in Pierce, Alberta. She has also been hiking near the mountains with her “brother” Milo. Georgia has shown her retrieving skills by bringing back those valuable sticks found along mountain streams. Way to go, Georgia!

Keetch is growing and learning more everyday. In fact, she thinks she is SO smart, she loves to tell Annie, and us, what to do! We are in the heat of summer so she swims daily and likes early morning hikes to our wetlands and along our prairie trail. Her puppy obedience training is going well, although she feels she deserves more treats for all her efforts!

Coco is REALLY on summer vacation, so no photos yet. Watch for updates!

Starting New Lives
Max says good-bye on Mothers Day.

It has been a tough week at Songdog for those of us left behind.  Three little girls have left us recently to join their new families.

While we are thrilled they have such wonderful homes to go to, it isn’t easy to give them up when they have been such a poignant part of our lives.

We felt it only appropriate that their final pictures should be taken with their mom, Annie.

Godspeed, sweet puppies, and we wish you long, healthy, and happy lives.  We will never forget you.

To the new parents:  please send lots of updates and pictures!  The kids have a LOT of fans out there!

Chicory Update

Chicory is doing great, -settled in to her new home.

Loves to play, eat, lounge on the couch, explore, give kisses, vocalize , get hugs, get treats, greet everyone enthusiastically,  carry her own leash on walks, and bring in the newspaper. But her favorite is to go up north, cruise the shoreline for anything that looks like it has been dead awhile and run with it. Swimming, well the water was a bit chilly only wading at this time. We are definitely, once again, owned by a fantastic, energetic, loving FCR.!!!!

Georgia Update

Susan and John, Milo (our hound), Stoffy, (our cat) report:

Georgia is a fantastic puppy and will grow into a wonderful dog. We were lucky to have had her ‘uncle’ Sam (Annie and Sam had the same father – Huxley from Blazingstar) in our lives and sadly lost him last December to a very sudden death due to cancer. We were thrilled when Liz from Blazingstar put us in touch with Katy and Brian and when we found out that we would be getting a puppy that was related to Sam. These dogs --- they sure have a way of working into your lives and hearts!

Milo and Georgia - BFF!

Keetch Update

Keetch is very interested in obedience training - as long as she's the instructor

Hmm, that looks interesting.

Let met just grab it.

And give it a tug.

Come ON , Mom!
